Join nowHello,
How can I get rid of old, uncleared transactions that keep appearing when I go to do a bank rec without affecting the balance? Can I just void them and have quickbooks create a journal entry then just clear them all in the bank rec? Thank you for any help anyone can provide.
Mark
Basically, you can't:
- If they're real transactions that will effect the ending balance when they someday clear, they should be left in the account.
- If they're mistakes, not real, or you otherwise know they will never clear, then they should be voided or deleted and that will change the ending balance.
Thanks for posting here in the forum. I see you are seeing uncleared transactions in your Bank records in QuickBooks Desktop. I'm here to share information and guidelines to help you clear these transactions.
Make sure that the transactions you're looking at are both relevant and uncleared. If they haven't yet cleared from the bank, you'll need to wait until they do. If you find a duplicate transaction, you can delete it from your bank register. Here are the steps to delete a duplicate transaction:
I'm adding this article you can use in the future: Add and match Bank Feed transactions.
