Would you mind sharing a screenshot of the message you're seeing? This way, I can determine what type of update it's requesting. It sounds like this may be offering you to upgrade to 2022-2023. Please know that you do not have to upgrade if you don't want to.
On another note, the message could be referring to our Release Update. However, the newest release update was released in November. We update QuickBooks regularly to give you a better experience and fix issues along the way.
