This question was previously asked which Im interested in learning more for my small business. Is this functionality titled above available for small businesses and what are the requirements? Can this be done using "quickbooks payments" and its "QuickBooks POS" system? Stripe provides this funcitonality and Im considering a new POS and payment processor and this is important functionality for my business.
I ask this because I own a bike shop selling $2k electric bikes and am thinking about changing POS and payments systems. Being able to process an "authorization hold" would be important as we offer a try before you buy. Customers are allowed to ride the bike for 1-2 hours and we do a credit card "authorization hold" of $100. If they like the bike then we process the full sale of $2k. But if they decide not buy the bike then we would release the authorization hold, which would be be 1-7 days and Im fine with.

Currently, we're unable to process Authorization only transactions in QuickBooks, especially for the authorization hold payment system. I know this could be beneficial to help you have this offer to your customers.
Though, you can either contact your financial institution or our Merchant Services team to check for other options. I also encourage you to check out the commonly asked questions for each product.

Afaik, there are some options in the market offering the authorization hold service.
You may compare Stripe and Authorize.net, then utilize this app to reconcile transactions into your QBD.

As other options, explore PayTrace, USAePay, and CyberSource. You will need another app to connect one of them into your QBD.
