Upgrading from QB Premier 2019

I, like the rest of the QB Premier 2019 users, need to upgrade before 31 May 2022 in order to continue using our QB Enhanced Payroll Subscription.  I've asked Intuit if purchasing the new QB Premier Plus 2022 Subscription would seamlessly incorporate my existing Payroll Subscription or do I need to purchase the new software containing the payroll module.  No one has been able to answer my question.  I'm unable to talk with anyone just via chat.  I just renewed my Payroll Subscription in February for $500 and don't want to throw away that investment.  I'm not interested in running in the cloud and frankly am not happy about the new subscription model.  We're a small non-accounting business with 2 employees and the increased annual costs make a big impact to our bottom line.  If anyone has an answer to my payroll delema, I would really appreciate your input.  Thank you.   -John

Since you already have a payroll subscription, you can use an upgraded version you purchase that doesn't include payroll. The subscription will continue even as you upgrade.

As an accounting firm, you might be interested in both the Enhanced Payroll for Accountants, which lets you use payroll in 50 company files instead of 3, and also in becoming a Pro Advisor, which isn't difficult at all (it takes some work to become certified, but that's not required last I checked.)  There's an $800 or so fee per year for being a Pro Advisor, but you get both QB Enterprise and Premier for the fee each year, and they don't require renewal after a year (I think even for QB 2022.) You also get a QB Online company subscription, I think, and also discounts on some other software and services.

Thank you for your answer; that was exactly the information I was looking for.  But note, we are NOT an accounting firm, we simply use QB to perform our accounting.  Thanks again.
