Buy nowI am looking to upgrade my old mac to a 2024 imac. I am concerned that the Quickbooks 2016 program that I have been using as a license will not be uploaded to the new subscription product as this product has been discontinued. Will the new product incorporate my existing files and carry forward my old data? and the same holds true with the old Quicken product I have which is Quicken 2015-
I really don't want to re-enter all this financial data
Thanks
Which MacOS do you run now on the new machine?
Hi there, Billy.
Allow me to give insights and guide you in moving your data from your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) Mac 2016 to QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) Mac 2016.
Create a MAC.qbb file by opening QuickBooks from your PC first. A MAC.qbb file is a copy of the QuickBooks Desktop company file that can be restored to your Mac, using Quickbooks for Mac. You'll be guided through completing the task by the following steps.
Next, restore the backup copy on your Mac. Here's how:
If you can't open your 2016 QuickBooks backup copy on your new computer, download our 30-day trial to restore it: Download a trial of QuickBooks Desktop. Proceed by following the steps I mentioned above on moving your data to QuickBooks Mac.
You can check out our QuickBooks help articles page for more detailed guidelines on managing your business in your software.
