If your client has a one-time license, they can still send an Accountant's copy and import the changes. However, they'll need to ensure their QuickBooks version matches yours. For example, if your client has QuickBooks Desktop Premier 2021, you need QuickBooks Desktop Accountant 2021 to open the file.
When sending a copy, they have two ways to achieve this. They can send it manually (a USB drive, email attachment, or shared through a cloud service like Box) or use the Accountant's Copy File Transfer Service to share a file through the web.
