I've inherited the database and set up of a company that has been in business and using QuickBooks for 15+ years and the previous operators did not make a practice of coding the jobs as closed when completed because they used a side spreadsheet to manage open jobs.
I would like to advance our use of QuickBooks to routinely update the job status so we can manage the jobs from the database without using a parallel spreadsheet system.
The initial goal of setting the job status of the thousands of old jobs to closed is daunting.
Does anyone know if there is a way to change all Job Status settings to Closed and then just resetting the real active jobs to Active?
Thank you.
