We are having trouble contacting our authorized servers. Please retry in a little while.

I started receiving this message a couple of days ago on my laptop shortcut Icon. I can still get in through a web browser. I deleted everything and reloaded. Still having issues.

Welcome to the Community! Let me share some information about our Desktop App for QuickBooks Online.


The QuickBooks Online Windows and Mac desktop apps are no longer supported as of April 20, 2021. Once your browser no longer supports your app, we recommend accessing QuickBooks Online through your preferred browser. There are no new updates or technical support after this date.

 

For more information about the discontinuation, check out this link: QuickBooks Online Mac and Windows Desktop App update. Alternatively, you can download the QuickBooks Online mobile app to access your account using an app.

 

You can also access QuickBooks on your iOS (Apple) or Android devices browser. I've included an article about the recommended specs for the best results when using a mobile device: QuickBooks Online access for mobile devices.

Okay, I can live with that. Now how do I get rid of the annoying pop up ads that I keep getting when I use Quickbooks in my browser. Never had that issue when I could use the program straight from my desktop. When I need to upgrade to more features I know where to look, I don't need Quickbooks to spam me constantly..

The ads in QuickBooks are guides that serve as helpful reminders. I know this seems not necessary if you keep seeing these pop-up ads over and over. However, the pop-up ads will usually appear for the new user. But, If you keep seeing the pop ads, just click on the or No, thanks buttons. This will temporarily prevent the pop-up ads from showing up again.   

 

To disable the pop ads, Here's how: 

 

  1. Click the Mange your Intuit Account
  2. Choose Data privacy. 
  3. Press QuickBooks View
  4. Disable the QuickBooks software: training, offers & updates, and Get more from QuickBooks: add-ons and apps

  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

However, we can send feedback to our developer team if you want to disable the pop-up ads permanently. They're always looking for ideas to consider on how to improve QuickBooks.

 

Here's how to do it:

 

  1. In QBO, select the Gear icon at the top, then Feedback.
  2. Enter your comments or product suggestions. Then select Next to submit feedback.
