Web App showing in Manage Web Apps with error message of Connection Lost, but not showing in Integrated Applications

Hi there, @dchilldres. Thanks for sharing your concern on the QuickBooks Community page and adding a screenshot.

I'm here to share some steps to resolve the issue and connect your apps to QuickBooks Desktop.

These are the possible reasons behind QuickBooks Error "Connection has been Lost":

  • QuickBooks is not up-to-date
  • Network connectivity issue
  • The folder, where the QBW file is saved, needs additional permission
  • Anti-Virus or firewall is interfering with QB
  • The company file is damaged

To start troubleshooting, let's update the program to its latest release. Doing this help will make sure you'll have the up to date features and product improvements. This can also fix minor issues within the system. Here's how:

  1. Go to Help and select Update QuickBooks Desktop.
  2. Click Update Now, then Get Updates.
  3. Close and reopen QuickBooks to install the update again.

If you're getting the same results, try reinstalling the Web Connector. Follow these steps to uninstall the program:

  1. On your keyboard, press Windows+R.
  2. In the Run window, search for the control panel.
  3. Click Uninstall a program.
  4. Select Web Connector, then Uninstall. If you can't find QuickBooks Web Connector in the control panel, delete the QBWebConnector folder in these locations:
    • C:\Program Files(x86)\Common Files\Intuit\QuickBooks\
    • C:\Program Files\Common Files\Intuit\QuickBooks\

Once done, let's install again the Web Connector. If the issue persists, let's run QuickBooks Tool Hub to fix the error.

If you receive a specific error code, check out this article for applicable troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue: Fix common Web Connector errors in QuickBooks Desktop.

Please let me know if you have additional concerns about connecting apps in QuickBooks Desktop. I'm always here to help you out. Have a good one.

Hi @ReymondO ,

It looks like the guidance provided is for web connector version 1.0. Could you please provide guidance for a QuickBooks Desktop Web Connector (QBWC) 3.0 version?

Thank you so much!

Danny
