What does the add option mean on the banking-on the right hand side

Nice question, barbara-wensley.

The Add option under the Action column shows when there is no transaction created in QuickBooks Online (QBO).  Thus, the Add option allows you to record the new transaction in the register.

Hi, barbara-wensley.

Hope you’re doing great. I wanted to see how everything is going about the add option mean on the banking that you had the other day. Was it resolved? Do you need any additional help or clarification? If you do, just let me know. I’d be happy to help you at any time.

Looking forward to your reply. Have a pleasant day ahead.

What does the add option mean on the banking-on the right hand side

How come when I add a transaction from Cashflow to my bank register, it appears on both the credit and debit columns and when I try to remove one, both disappears.

@Bibi V  QB works on double-entry accounting. This means that there will always be an equivalent amount of debits and credits, collectively. For instance, spending $50.00 on cleaning supplies will debit your Cleaning Supplies Expense and credit whatever bank account you used to make the payment.

Deleting one side of the transaction will delete the entire transaction; you can't just delete one side.

If you're saying that adding a transaction results in your Bank being debited and credited for the same amount, it probably means that the transaction is using said Bank for both the debit and credit side.

If you're saying something else, it may help if you describe the transaction in question in more detail.
