Since your data is being saved on the company hard drive, we can review this occasionally and check if the file is getting larger. If you notice that the program starts to sluggish, we can indicate that the file size is getting large. In this, we can begin to use the condensed data utility.
This feature can help to improve the program. Here's how:
- Go to the File and select Utilities, then click Condense Data.
- Enter the date from which you want to remove the transaction.
- Click OK and then Select OK to create a backup file.
- Select OK again once the backup is complete.
- Hit OK once and review the info in Condense Data Completed.
Please note that if you track inventory, set the date to the last day of the previous month to ensure your average cost remains accurate. Additionally, if there are transactions that can't be removed, you can select Show List to review those transactions with an explanation of why they were kept.
