What solution is best for a client with two entities?

I have a client with a holding company for properties, some of which are used in their other company for hospitality (restaurant, vacation rentals and event venue), both Subchapter S. Not a lot of users (2 accountants, maybe 2 other users) but want to scale for future.

What solution is best for a client with two entities?

For a client with two entities in QuickBooks Online (QBO), and looking to scale for future growth. It's best to set up separate QuickBooks Online accounts for each entity, @realnumbersllc.

You can manage both accounts under a single QuickBooks Online Accountant profile. This setup allows you to switch easily between the two companies without having to log out, ensuring that authorized users have the necessary access to both accounts.

Since you're managing two separate entities for two companies, I suggest using QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT). This platform allows you to switch between different company files seamlessly, enhancing your ability to manage each entity efficiently.

You can use QB Desktop to manage multiple company files. Purchase a license through a reseller and get perpetual discounts on renewals.

Just to let you know, all versions of QB Desktop except Enterprise have been discontinued.  QB Desktop allows you to create unlimited companies for one annual price, whereas QB Online requires a separate subscription for each company.  It's no secret that the sun is setting on QB Desktop products, so keep that in mind.
