Yes, you're right, @austinstacey95.

I'd be glad to elaborate and guide you on paying federal estimated quarterly taxes.

In QuickBooks Self-Employed, we can use Form 1040-ES to pay using the Electronic Federal Tax Payment System (EFTPS) as a 1099 independent contractor.

If you want to pay by mail, you can send your payment and estimated payment form (1040-ES voucher) together in QBSE. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Taxes menu, and select the Quarterly Taxes tab.
  2. Click Pay Now.
  3. Choose the By mail option.
  4. Fill out the 1040-ES payment voucher. Then, click Continue.
  5. Print your voucher.

The printed voucher tells you how to complete your forms, and which IRS office to mail them to. Your check and voucher must be postmarked by the quarterly due date.

If you want to pay online, this guide can give you a detailed process: Pay federal estimated quarterly taxes in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Moreover, you can review this IRS website for more up-to-date information: Quarter schedule and payment deadlines.

You can post anytime if you have questions or want to share your best practices using the product about filing quarterly taxes. Please know the Community has your back.
