I've reviewed our ongoing investigation about imported invoices being automatically set under Modern custom instead of default and can confirm Intuit's Product Investigations team is still searching for more information on the topic.
If you haven't yet, I'd recommend getting in touch with our Customer Care team and referencing the investigation's case number (INV-108830). They'll be able to pull up your account in a secure environment and verify if you've been added to the investigation as an affected user.

Last July 24, I was told that my account was already attached to that case number. Earlier this week, I was told that someone will call me to give updates on it but I did not receive any call.
After 24 weeks and 1 day, this is still not resolved! Kudos QB Engineers! Good job on making our job even harder!
