We're thrilled to see you here on our Community forum, Kaitlin. We'll gladly write down the steps to help you view or download your 1099s inside QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE).
To view and download your Form 1099 from your clients, you can easily navigate to the Clients tab on your QBSE account. However, if you don't have a QuickBooks Self-Employed account, no worries. You can view your forms by creating a limited QBSE account. To do so, you'll have to sign up for a trial version:
- Head to the QuickBooks plan at this link.
- Click the green radio button to toggle it to the Free trial option (the button should turn black this indicates that you're going to sign up for a free 30-day trial).
- Tap the Select button under Self-Employed.
- Select Checkout, enter your Email and Password, then Sign up With Email.
Once done, follow these steps to view the 1099 form:
- Head to the QuickBooks Self Employed log-in page.
- Once signed in, go to the Clients tab.
- From the Forms section, look for your 1099 form.
Then, here's how you can view your form once your customer submits them to the IRS. You'll receive an email once it's ready to download. From there, click the link to sign in to QBSE:
- Sign in to QuickBooks Self-Employed.
- Go to the Clients menu.
- Select the Forms tab.
