Where do I find File, Select Import to import data from Square

You can go to your account's settings and choose import data to move Square information to QuickBooks Online, AK20. I'd gladly share input about this.

If you've already integrated your Square app account to QBO, data are automatically moved to the online program. However, if you wish to import products and services to QuickBooks, you'll have to export the data from Square as a CSV file.

Once ready, here's how to import your data:

  1. In QuickBooks, navigate to Settings and select Import Data.
  2. Choose Products and Services from the dropdown and click Import.
  3. Select Products with variants or Products without variants, depending on what kind of products you offer.
  4. From here, you can manually enter your data or choose the Import CSV option.
  5. Map your information and review all details, column headers, and correct date format. Then, follow the onscreen steps to proceed.

In addition, if you've already connected the bank account that Square uses to deposit money from your sales, QuickBooks then automatically downloads your banking entries and matches them to your Square transactions.

If you need to import older entries, you can manually upload your Square transactions to QuickBooks.

Additionally, you'll want to seek additional guidance from our QuickBooks Live Expert Assisted team to help you manage importing your data and provide assistance in keeping track of your overall transactions.
