QuickBooks Online (QBO) has been rolling out a beta feature that lets you automatically collect customer feedback, glskunks.
We sent email communications to selected customers that the Post-Invoice Survey option will be automatically enabled. To turn it off, we can follow the steps below:

RE: QuickBooks Online (QBO) has been rolling out a beta feature that lets you automatically collect customer feedback, glskunks.
And is this beta feature off by default, since is is wholly inappropriate for many businesses?
Turning it off isn't the issue. The issue is that it was ON in the first place! This is a breach of trust at best. These customers belong to ME not Intuit/QBO! I am furious because one of these surveys was sent to someone we do not wish to contact.
So Intuit is foisting a Beta feature on unsuspecting Intuit customers, including one that inappropriately - on multiple levels - communicates with their customers. Wow! (Not a good wow!)
I wonder what idiot thought that was a good idea? Someone really should be fired.
It seems that Intuit upper management has no control at all over what the QuickBooks Online development team is doing. Would they really want them to implement stupid features like this (whether on or off by default) instead of actually improving QuickBooks Online until it is even remotely a decent replacement for Desktop?
Yep. That's what the QBO "supervisor" told me a few minutes ago. I told her to take BETA off my account today. They can't. Ugh. I told her the development team was full of idiots at best, and this is grossly inappropriate if not illegal.
Imagine if your CPA/Vendor/etc. contacted all of your clients/customers without your consent?!! Would QBO think that's appropriate? It's the same thing. Someone with more time than I have should open a class action against them. I'm actively looking into other accounting programs. What a colossal pain in the a$$.

So much for your financial and customer data being secure within QuickBooks Online. On the contrary, it seems you never know what Intuit will do with it next.
I guess this is one more of the hundreds of reasons QuickBooks Desktop is better than Online.
