Why do the drop downs for customer name on receiving payments no longer sort in alphabetic order????

Hey there, @ShawnDyer and @denisek

Thanks for stopping by the Community with your question.

To clarify, is this happening on other forms like invoices and also bills?

In the meantime, I recommend clearing your browser's cache and cookies to ensure this isn't a browser issue.

I'll be waiting for your response!

Why do the drop downs for customer name on receiving payments no longer sort in alphabetic order????

Happens on other drop downs also (Vendor names when writing a check).  Nothing different after clearing browser.  I can almost guarantee that this was due to an update that Quickbooks did without testing fully afterwards.  Stuff like this happens regularly and I am finding this software to be less user friendly all the time and I have to spend more time working around Quickbooks than ever before.  Another example of this occurred roughly a month ago where I can no longer turn estimates into invoices with going through the step of "approving" them first.

No change after clearing browser.

Seems like another update that was done without proper testing.  The amount of time I spend in QB grows all the time due to issues like this.  Similar thing happened a month ago where you can no longer turn estimates into invoices without going through an "approval" step now.
