Why does it say “rule already exists “ when manually categorizing a trip for mileage? Surely if the rule existed I wouldn’t have to manually categorize it.

This option used to work perfectly fine on the self-employed app.

Let's work through troubleshooting your QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) mobile app to ensure you can manually categorize your trips for accurate mileage tracking, Victor.

Accumulated data on your device may affect its functionality. To reset it while keeping your app's documents and data, please follow these steps:

For iOS:

  1. Go to Settings, then tap General.
  2. Select iPhone Storage, then click the QBSE app.
  3. Tap Offload App.

For Android:

  1. Open your device Settings.
  2. select Apps
  3. Choose QuickBooks app from the list, then select Storage.
  4. Select clear data.

I'll also provide this article for more detailed information on getting your trips from Google Timeline: Import Google Timeline trips into QuickBooks Self-Employed.
