Why must you save a print job before you can print it?

Hello there, @Ferd1. Thank you for posting here in the Community. I'm glad to assist you with fixing the printing issue in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Before anything else, May I ask what job you are trying to print? If you are referring to a transaction in QuickBooks it will depend on your browser settings, QBO's default printer settings may differ. You can change your browser so that data from your QuickBooks will immediately print without having to save it as a PDF on your device.

Please refer to the steps I've given above for your reference. Also, check out this article for more information about downloading and saving invoices, other sales forms, and statements as pdf in QuickBooks Online: Download and save sales forms and statements in QuickBooks Online.

For additional resources, the following write-up will guide you through the process of sending sales forms by batch and printing multiple copies: Email or print multiple invoices and sales forms.

Please don't hesitate to provide an update if you need more help managing the printing setup. I'll be right here to lend a hand. Have a great day ahead.
