On January 14, 2020 Windows 7 comes to End Of Life for support. With currently supported versions of Quickbooks, when will Intuit stop supporting the use of Windows 7 computers?
Hello and welcome to the Community, gellenb.
I'm here to provide some additional clarification on your question regarding the Windows 7 end of support.
For the supported versions of QuickBooks, we still allow the use of Windows 7 Operating System for QuickBooks Desktop. All existing QuickBooks versions that 's compatible and can run on Windows 7 will remain supported.
For additional insight into the system requirements, I'm adding the article down below:

By the way, isn't it oncongruent that Profile NEEDS to have Windows 7 in January to be able to run because of "security issues" but Quickbooks doesn't?? Isn't security an issue in Quickbooks, too?
Not sure what tax package I'm going to have to use this year. The time to install all the application software on a new operating system is prohibitively expensive.
hi @RGPilling ,
Which QuickBooks version (year) do you have?
Hi there, RGPilling.
Here's the working article for the system requirements: System requirements for QuickBooks 2020 and Enterprise Solutions 20.0.

We always recommend to use the updated and supported Windows version for security purposes. Though, if you continue to use the outdated version, please make sure to create a backup copy of your company file in case of PC issues.

Everything from QB 8.0 Accountant's Edition up to QB 2020 Accountant's edition.

Imho, you don't have to worry too much for QB version older than 2017 to run on Win 7. But for 2017-2020 version, make sure you don't update anything starting next January until you have upgraded your OS to Win 8.1 or Win 10.
