Won't import credit card info. Message says accessing intuit categorization Service

Hello there, @abonesf.

Thank you for providing us with detailed information about importing credit card information in QuickBooks Desktop for Mac.

Right now, we're unable to import credit card information on QuickBooks Desktop for Mac. This feature is not yet available at this time.

It would be a great suggestion to be able to credit card details for your business. In this case, recommend sending feedback straight to our product developers. Here's how you can submit feedback:

  1. Go to QuickBooks at the top menu bar.
  2. Select Preferences, and click on Feedback.
  3. On the Preferences panel, choose Feedback and enter your suggestions.

The Feedback section is the best place for your voice to be heard and make product suggestions.

Please browse through these pages below about the different tasks in IIF, the user's mode to use in importing a file, and other topics:

Please know I'm always available here whenever you have questions concerning the QuickBooks product. Wishing you all the best.

Won't import credit card info. Message says accessing intuit categorization Service

Hi there, mcblonday.

As of this moment, importing credit card data is unavailable In QuickBooks Desktop for Mac. I know how important to have a functionality that can import credit card file in QBDT for Mac.

While this is unavailable in QuickBooks for Mac, I'd recommend sending feedback to our Product Development Team. At times, we roll out updates based on the requests that we receive from our customers. You can follow my colleagues steps above on how to send feedback.

As a workaround, you'll want to use the Intuit Interchange Format (.IIF) file format to manually download the credit card transactions in your software. Here's how:

  1. Log in as Admin and make sure you are in Single User mode as well.
  2. On the File menu, pick Utilities, then Import, and choose IIF Files.
  3. Locate your.IIF file and highlight it and Open.
  4. Choose OK on the pop-up message confirming your data has been imported.

After that, the system displays your credit card transactions in the Downloaded Transactions window. Just review and/or match them to the existing entries in QuickBooks. You can refer to this article for the detailed steps: Add and match transactions in QuickBooks Desktop for Mac

If you have further questions in importing your file, please feel free to reach back out. Have a great day!

Won't import credit card info. Message says accessing intuit categorization Service

It is not correct that Quickbooks for Mac cannot import credit card information. There is a bug that sometimes, the import doesn't complete and the dialog box that freezes the software says "Accessing Intuit Categorization Service." Force quitting and re-attempting the import works, but sometimes there is data loss (I've seen transactions that were previously entered or time previously logged get wiped out when force quitting the application).
