You can't add QuickBooks Online Plus with your existing subscription

Firstly, ensure you're on the QBO website when purchasing a QBO plan or subscription and not from the Customer Account Manage Portal (CAMPs). You can use your existing Intuit account when registering, refer to this website to check for the Plans and Pricing: QBO Plans & Pricing.

However, if the issue still persists. I suggest contacting Sales to help you and further check what's causing this.

Accepting your answer as yours was the closest to actually get me going.

For the benefit of others who read this, here is what I did to get my old QuickBooks 2008 version converted.

1. I had to call Sales to get them to create the Quickbooks Online account since I couldn't do it myself through the website.
2. I found I was not able to simply import my .QBW quickbooks file using the steps in https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/help-article/import-export-data-files/move-quickbo...
3. After a quick call to support, I learned I simply had to save a portable company file from my Quickbooks 2008 file and import THAT.
4. Once I used the portable company for import, everything worked fine and I eventually got the email that the import was done.

It was very fast and easy with those steps and I was very surprised (and impressed!) that my Quickbooks 2008 file was imported so quickly and seamlessly.
