Zebra Barcode Scanner TC22

Hi

 

I recently install QB enterprise 2024 and would like to use Barcode scanner (Mobile Computer). Zebra sales recommended TC22 (TC21 is discontinued). Is TC22 compatible with QB advanced warehouse management? I added new warehouse user, linked TC22 with QB desktop, but TC22 keep show "No new picker added". HELP>>> Thanks

Warehouse Manager helps you efficiently receive items from purchase orders or pick and pack items collected from a warehouse to complete sales orders. To set it up, you need to use a supported mobile barcode scanner device like the Zebra TC21 and Zebra TC26. Then, to enable a Warehouse User, follow these steps:

 

  1. Navigate to the Company menu in QuickBooks and select Users, followed by Set up Users and Roles.
  2. Go to the Role list tab, choose the appropriate Role for the user, and then click Edit.
  3. In the Areas and Activities section, select Centers, and then click on Vendor Center.
  4. Under Activity Access Level, check View Balance.

There are several supported mobile barcode scanner devices we can use for the Warehouse Manager in QuickBooks Desktop mobile, 290D. Let me share some details about this one.

 

The supported ones are Zebra TC21 and Zebra TC26. Also, you'll encounter that error message if you don't add the picker in QuickBooks. We'll need to create it as a vendor with the Type field set as Warehouse user to add a picker.

 

If you are using the supported ones and set up the scanner, here's how to add a picker : 

 

  1. Go to Vendor Center under the Vendors menu,
  2. From the New Vendor drop-down list, choose New Vendor.
  3. Enter the name of the Picker In the Vendor name field. 
  4. Click the Additional Info tab.
  5. From the Vendor Type drop-down list, select Warehouse user.

Hi QB support,

 

Thanks for the reply.

I have followed the steps, but the TC22 scanner still showed "No warehouse users found in QB company file". Please advise what other steps I can try.

Both the TC21 and TC26 are discontinued by Zebra, can you please confirm what supported model will be able to work with QuickBooks if the TC22 does not seem like it can support?

  • Zebra TC20/TC25/TC51 (Android 6.0 & above)
  • Zebra MC40 Mobile Computer (Android 6.0 & above)

QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise 24.0 also supports:
 

  • Honeywell Voyager 1602g Pocket Barcode Scanner
  • Socket Mobile CHS 7CI
  • Symbol CS3070
  • Zebra MC40

hi, thanks for your confirmation, i was going off of your last post where you said

I would be needing 3 of these devices, so I need to make sure of its compatibility before purchasing.

please, Where can i find compatible android version for MC40, the current android version says "There was a problem parsing the package"  when install it . Should i get older version ?! and how ?! Thanks

As long as you're using the supported mobile barcode scanner devices, you should not receive an error during installation, @hady144.
 

To begin with, this error occurs when there is a problem during the download process or with your device storage. 
 

You can restart your device and try reinstalling it to fix issues, such as installation errors. It clears temporary files that may interfere with the device's operation.
 

If the issue persists, delete the downloaded app and download it again. Make sure that you download the app from a credible site.

Parse error
There was a problem parsing the package.

I’m using:

Device: Zebra MC40

Android version: 5.1.1 (API 22)


Could you confirm:

1. What is the minimum Android version required for the current QuickBooks Desktop: Inventory app?


2. Is there an older APK compatible with Android 5.1.1?


3. Which specific app version is guaranteed to install on MC40?

 

Your website lists MC40 as supported, so I’d like to clarify if there’s a specific APK I should use.

For your first query, the minimum Android version required for QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) 2023 should be Android version 4.4 or above. However, Android version 6.0 or higher is necessary for QBDT 2024 on the Zebra MC40.

 

Regarding your second question, there is no older APK compatible with Android 5.1.1, as it is an outdated version. You will want to reach out to an Android developer for further assistance.

 

Lastly, Android 5.1 is the app version guaranteed to install on the Zebra MC40, a barcode scanner device that is an Android mobile computer not designed for direct use with QBDT in HID mode. Therefore, you'll need a middleware or a custom integration.
