3rd party credit card processor in POS 19

Has anyone processed credit cards through POS 19.0 with any provider other than Intuit? If so, did you need a plug-in to process?

3rd party credit card processor in POS 19

Thanks for reaching out here in the Community with your question about credit card processor, @scoshields. Let me help you clear things up.

We're unable to recommend a 3rd party app to use. However, There's a feature in QuickBooks that allows you to search for an app that meets your needs. Here's how:

  1. From the left menu, click Apps.
  2. Select the Find Apps tab.
  3. Enter a brief description of the feature in the Search for an App box.
  4. If there's a list of selections, choose the app you want to integrate, then click Get the app now to connect.

While you can't use this feature in QuickBooks Online, you can visit the Intuit Apps Center and search for available apps.

Our doors are always open to help you again if you have follow-up questions about integrating third-party applications in QuickBooks. Have a good one.

Thanks- I want to make sure you are referring to credit card processing apps that will work with QB POS 19, not QB Desktop. I don't see the app search feature you are referring to in POS.

Thanks for your help.

Thanks for getting back with the Community, scoshields.

The app store mentioned in LollyNino_C's post is for QuickBooks Online. With our discontinuation of QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sale, Intuit has partnered with Shopify to offer a Point of Sale option that integrates with QuickBooks Desktop Financial Software.

Shopify's Point of Sale and Payments solution integrates with QuickBooks and includes multi-channel selling, remote access, enhanced reporting, a modern user interface, popular payment methods, and exclusive offers. You can check their website for more information on their Point of Sale and payment processing services.

There's also several other Point of Sale solutions available in our QuickBooks Desktop Marketplace.

I've also included a detailed resource about QuickBooks Point of Sale discontinuation which may come in handy moving forward: Discontinuation of QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sale FAQs

If there's any questions, I'm just a post away. Have a lovely day!
