Accounts are missing from the Invoice screen and also from the Payments Deposit To screen

Undeposited funds account is missing on the Receive Payments->Deposit to drop-down menu.  I see it in the Chart of Accounts and have used it for a long time but now all I see is Add New in the drop down.  The same thing is happening when trying to create a new Service on the invoice screen.

 

I just noticed this today but have not been in these screens for about 2 weeks.

I'm here to help you locate your Undeposited Funds account, joecharlson.

 

The Undeposited Funds account is a default account automatically created by QuickBooks Online. It could be that the account was renamed which is why you can't find it in the Receive Payment window. Here's how:

 

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Chart of Accounts.
  2. Find the Undeposited Funds from the Detail Type column (there can only be one undeposited funds in QuickBooks Online).
  3. Once you find it, click the drop-down arrow and select Edit.
  4. Update the name according to your preference.
  5. Click on Save and close.
