Add New Vendor Data - from a Directory?

Hello, I have recently stumbled up a way to add new Vendor data by using a search field in QBO. I was surprised that this particular Vendor was in the list (given they're a large Co likely not using QB). All the address/ contact data I needed was automatically available for me to create this new Vendor. Now I feel I was dreaming because I can't find this functionality anymore. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

Add New Vendor Data - from a Directory?

You have two ways to add your vendor details in QuickBooks Online, @UniIlo

You can either add them manually by entering all the vendor details in the required fields, or import them to enter their complete details in bulk automatically.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Expenses menu, then select Vendors.
  2. Click the drop-down menu in the New Vendor tab on the upper right.
  3. Select Import Vendors.

From there, choose either you want to upload a .CSV file or from Google Sheet. See sample screenshot below:

Add New Vendor Data - from a Directory?

@UniIlo   I know what you're talking about.  I have noticed that it is like everything else QB related. It is hit or miss.  It only has happened on SOME of my vendors, not all.

Thank you, I thought I was imagining this. It's like it's a new offer that pops up like a notification or an ad....and I thought how cool. And now the option is nowhere to be found. I wish I know what prompted it.
