Adding info to bill list

Two questions about the bill list:

How do I add the invoice number to the overall list?

How do I make the default display organized by highest amount due rather than the lowest amount due.

Adding info to bill list

Hello there, @editfred.  I'm here to help and provide you with the information you need. My goal is to ensure that you have a smooth experience and find the answers you're looking for. Let's address your queries one by one.

To start with, when you say invoice number, do you mean Bill no.? If yes, I'm glad to inform you that we can let that show in your Bills list in QuickBooks Online. Here's how:

  1. On your Bills page, hit on the Gear icon.
  2. Put a checkmark in the Bill No. box.
  3. Click anywhere to exit the customization pop-up

Regarding your second concern about organizing the bills from the highest to lowest amount, we can accomplish that by double-clicking on the Bill Amount button. By default, the bills are sorted based on their creation date. However, if we click on the Bill Amount button, the list will be arranged from the lowest to the highest amount. Double-clicking it will reverse the order and give you the list from highest to lowest amount.

Refer to the screenshot for your visual reference:

Please note that once you refresh or exit the page, the bills will go back to their default arrangement.

Additionally, did you know that in QuickBooks Online Advanced, we have the ability to include personalized fields in sales forms, purchase orders, expense forms, customer profiles, and vendor profiles? That's correct. This feature provides us with greater flexibility to incorporate custom information and generate comprehensive reports that offer valuable insights. Adding info to bill list

Thanks for getting back to us, @editfred. I understand that being able to sort bills from lowest to highest would be a valuable feature for you. I'm here to share additional information about your question.

As mentioned by my colleague @QuennieC, bills in QBO are currently sorted based on their creation date by default. While we currently don't have that specific option available in QuickBooks Online (QBO), we appreciate your feedback and understand the importance of such functionality for our users.

Our development team regularly reviews customer feedback to improve our product and consider implementing new features. Your input is valuable to us, and we encourage you to share your suggestion through the feedback feature in QBO. This way, our team can consider it for future updates and enhancements. Here's how you can send your feedback.

  1. In the upper-right corner, click the Gear icon.
  2. Select Feedback.
  3. Enter a brief description of your product suggestion. and then click Next.
  4. Type your email address.
  5. Once done, click Send Message.
