Adding tag to invoice after it has been sent to customer

I have invoice I sent to customer`s email via QBO. I forgot to tag the invoice, and I want to add a tag after invoice has been sent. When I add it, and want to save invoice, I get message that customer will see changes I made. Is there a way to turn this off? I don`t need to resend the invoice to customer, tag is only for my records.

It's great to see you back in the Community starting a new discussion about adding a tag to an invoice. I'd be more than happy to show you how to add the tag to an invoice without sending the customer another email with the sales form. 

 

It's a simple process. After adding the specific tag to the invoice, all you need to do is select Save and New at the bottom of the right-hand corner instead of Save and Send

 

Note: You may need to press the drop-down menu beside Save and send before the options will show.

I was doing "Save and Close", but get this message "Every time you save an invoice, your customer will see it updated on the online invoice page."

In QuickBooks, know that if you're adding a tag to an invoice you've already sent, your customer will receive a notification about the changes made to an invoice you've created. That said, if you don't want to let your customer know the changes you've added, you'll want to add the tag before sending the invoice to your customer.
