I am a sole proprietorship which means I am the only employee. I use Customers -> Enter Time -> Time/Enter Single Activity to add the time I work for each of my clients.
Currently, at the end of each month, I create an invoice for each client. I have to go to Create Invoice, Select the Customer, go to Add Time and Costs, check mark all the time entries I want to bill for from the past month, then create, review, and send the invoice. I also have to remember which clients I have worked for in the past month.
What I want to do is automate this process. Is there a way to click a button that will create an invoice for all clients that have unbilled time? Then I can just review each invoice and email them to each client (I don't want to automatically email the invoices as part of this process).
If I can't automate this process is there at least a way to pull a report of every client I have entered time for so I can know which need to be invoiced that month?

You may need a 3rd party app to do so.
Any suggestions?
Hello, Inventive_Web_Design.
I understand how important it is for you and your company to automate the process of creating invoices for the unbilled time from customers. Currently, this feature isn't available in QuickBooks Desktop.
We also offer a variety of apps to integrate into QuickBooks. Each of these apps has its feature tailored to the users' distinct needs. I recommend that you go to this page to choose a third-party application that meets your requirements: QuickBooks App.
Additionally, you can run a Time by Job Summary report and then customize it on the filters tab to see your customer's unbilled time.
Here's how:
You can visit this article for a complete guide to customizing your reports: Customize customer, job, and sales reports in QuickBooks Desktop.
I've also added this resource about recording invoice payments for future reference: Record an invoice payment.
Don't hesitate to get back to this post if you need further assistance with unbilled time. We're always here to help you.
