I found the page under apps. However Bill cs gave me incorrect information it seems. He said all versions had an approval process and both AP and AR. It seems only the $79 per user version has an approval process. I'm not sure any of it does AR. Should I try Melio instead?
I hear your sentiments and would be happy to make things right, suzanne.
Yes, you can use another third-party app like the Melio app you've mentioned.
If you have questions about the app, you'll need to connect with the app's provider. That way, they can provide and explain further the information you need. The contact information for third-party apps is on their corresponding page.
Here's how:
Please check this article for more details: QuickBooks Bill Pay powered by Melio.

Hi. Do you know if their is a difference between Bill Pay and Direct Pay in QBO? I see both terms and I seem really confused.
Hello there, suzannek1.
I'm here to give an overview and help you understand the difference between utilizing Bill Pay and Direct Pay in QuickBooks.
Before that, I'd like to clarify the direct pay you mentioned. Do you mean direct deposit? If yes, direct deposit lets you pay your contractors directly to their bank account and file 1009s.
Bill Pay lets you choose your preferred payment methods (ACH, credit card, or debit card). The vendors will receive the funds, depending on their choice (a check or a bank deposit). Also, we use it to pay your regular bills in QuickBooks.

Don't hesitate to add another post if you have further concerns about paying bills and anything related to QuickBooks. Take care and stay safe.
Thanks. The fog is lifting! so I am primarily using Bill pay to reimburse employee for expenses they paid with their own funds. No 1099's involved. Even though we pay contractors we do not use QB's Payroll so we will not be using Direct pay. Our accountant can do the 1099's.
Thanks for getting back to us, Suzanne.
I'm glad that the information provided by my colleague was able to clear your confusion about the difference between Bill Pay and Direct Pay. If you have any QBO-related concerns, please don't hesitate to swing by the Community for assistance. We're always around to lend a hand.
Stay safe, and have a great day ahead!
Does ANYBODY know how this is supposed to work?! I seriously am struggling. I don't know what the flow is supposed to be so I don't know what is not working. But it is not working! Bill support seems non-existent. Chats don't answer. Phone calls never come. Is there a tutorial out there that shows how it should go? Evidently I have 4 Bill.com accounts. No clue why. I am not even sure which one is supposed to be connected. I swear when I set it up it closed the old bill account.
I hear your sentiments, @suzannek1.
I understand that you've already been chatting and calling the support team to fix your queries. However, it would be best to reach out to their Customer Support Team since you're connecting accounts from Bill.com. They are equipped with tools to help guide you in the potential solutions to your concerns.
