You'll have to recreate the deleted invoice, jmartin1020. The information below ensures this entry is documented accurately based on the original record.
In QuickBooks Online (QBO), the option to recover deleted invoices is currently unavailable. Alternatively, you can recreate them using the details found in your audit log.
Here's how to use the audit log:
- Open your QBO company as an admin.
- Click the Gear icon, then Audit log.
- Utilize the Filter and choose the appropriate User, Date, or Events for a more precise result. For the Events, you can pick Deleted/Voided transactions.
- Select Apply, then locate the activity from which the entry was deleted.
- Click View from the History column to access the Audit History.

Aside from knowing who made the update and what they did, the audit history will also display the transaction details. You'll want to take note of these to ensure accuracy when recreating the invoice.
Once your customer decides to settle their balances, record them in QBO to update the invoice status and keep your accounts balanced. If you want to group multiple payments into a single deposit, you can put payments into the Undeposited Funds account.
