Welcome to the Community, @fesquivel! I'm more than happy to help you understand the process of setting up online payments in QBO. I'll also share some tips and recommendations to make sure you can set it up smoothly and start accepting online payments with ease. 


You'll need to have a payment processor to receive online payment in QuickBooks Online. If you want to subscribe to QuickBooks payment, you need to have an SSN since this is mandated by the IRS and we use that info for verification purposes. In your case, you can look for a 3rd-party processor that accepts ITIN, as QuickBooks will require you to use an SSN to set up a payment account.

Please note that opening a QuickBooks Payments account requires meeting certain eligibility criteria and undergoing credit and application approval. Intuit Payments Inc., licensed by the New York State Department of Financial Services as a Money Transmitter, provides the money movement services.


In addition to this, once you've successfully setup your QuickBooks Payments, You'll need to connect your account to QBO. Here's how:

  1. Log in to QuickBooks Online.
  2. In the Settings menu, select Subscriptions and billing.
  3. To connect your existing account, choose Connect your payments account.
  4. Pick the QuickBooks Payment account you want to connect and select the accounts you use to deposit customer payments.
  5. Review the account info and make sure it's accurate, then click Connect.
