I'm here to share some information when making a payment, ROST1.

The Schedule online payment option is a new way of paying a bill. However, we can still select the Make payment option through the vendor's profile. I'll show you how:

  1. From the Expenses tab, select Vendors.
  2. Locate the vendor's name.
  3. Under the ACTION column, click Make payment.

In case you want to pay your bills directly and hassle-free, you can check this article: What is Online Bill Pay?

If you still have other concerns, please let me know. I'll be right here to guide you!

Since the QBO expert didn't give you a great answer, let me tell you what I figured out.

Quickbooks being Quickbooks, they added a new feature along with an extra dose of user interface confusion. The "Schedule online payment" button is new and I'm sure I'll never use it. Next to it is a button that says "Mark as paid." This button functions exactly the same as the old "Make a Payment" button. I have no idea why it doesn't say "Make a Payment" instead of "Mark as paid." Maybe they do want to confuse you enough that you'll go for the online payment option.

So from the bill screen, just click "Mark as paid" and proceed as you normally did before their engineers "upgraded" the software.
