Can not connect to Pay Bills - QB Online

In QB Online. - When I select Pay Bills from the menu I can pay a bill.  After saving the payment QB leaves Pay Bills and goes to this :

I don't want to see this.  Usually when I save a payment QB stays on Pay Bills and I pay the next bill.  After each payment  QB goes to this screen and I can't get back to Pay Bills.  The only fix I have found is to close out of QB and open a new QB.  I then pay a bill, then get this screen again and have to close/open QB again to pay the next bill.    It is the only want to get rid of the this to get to Pay Bills.  This is the second day of this.  How do I get rid of this popping up uninvited and won't leave.

Can not connect to Pay Bills - QB Online

Thanks for raising your concern here, @mmmm4. We understand this is new to your end. I'm here to share insights and help you pay bills without closing out and opening a new QB.

As to the latest update of QBO, to stay in the Pay Bills form, we'll need to Mark the payment as paid in the Expenses tab, then Bill. Feel free to follow the steps below:

  1. From the Expenses tab, select Bills.
  2. Find the bill you want to be paid. In the ACTION column, click the Mark as paid.
  3. You will be prompted in the Bill Payment form. To save, click the dropdown menu on the lower right corner, and choose Save and new to stay on the page.

We'll share these articles for future help:

This should keep you moving today, @mmmm4. Don't hesitate to let me know if I can be of additional assistance while working in QuickBooks or need more help with paying bills. I'm always here to keep helping. Have a good one!

Can not connect to Pay Bills - QB Online

Thank you your response.  There is no way I am going to do it this way.  The latest update has done nothing but make it take longer to do my job.  It is ridiculous how many steps are added to accomplish a previously simple action.

I seriously don't understand how every update that QB does adds steps to anything that worked before.  Unfortunately for the user it isn't just this but a list of other unhelpful (and head scratching??) changes in the update.

I do appreciate your quick response to my question.
