Thanks for the reply. When I go to reset my ID, it tells me by resetting I am going to lose access to my intuit users & their associated roles. What does this mean? As admin, I can't lose anything!
Also, I cannot log in to the merchant account website because it keeps telling me I dont have an account.
Thanks for following up with the Community, amontford.
If you're transferring your QuickBooks Payments account to another company file, you'll need to select Transfer, then Yes, transfer. In the event you're not transferring a payments account to another company file, then you would select Connect.
The message you encountered likely has something to do with the steps above if it appeared while connecting a payments account to your company file. You can refer to our Connect your QuickBooks Payments account article for more information on this process.
If you're unable to sign in to your Intuit Account, you can refer to the steps in our Recover your Intuit Account if you can’t sign in article.
In the event you're still unable to get connected, you'll want to get in touch with our Customer Care team. They'll be able to pull up your account in a secure environment, conduct further research with you, and initiate an investigation ticket if necessary.
I'll be here to help if there's any additional questions. Have an awesome Monday!
My question about the above is this-

When you reset your ID, it usually refers to changing your primary login credentials, @savAM. However, as an admin, you should not lose access to your account. Allow me to explain further.
The warning about losing access to your Intuit users and their associated roles means that if you proceed with the reset, any users you've granted access to your account may be removed or their roles may change. It is a precaution to ensure that only the primary account holder retains control. It's important to confirm your admin role after the reset.
Also, If you cannot log into your merchant account and are getting messages that you don’t have an account, it may mean a couple of things.
After verifying, if you still have trouble logging in, I recommend contacting our merchant support directly. They can help you verify if your account is active, assist you in recovering your login information, and clarify how you can reset your ID without losing access to your users. Here's how to contact them:
Moreover, by managing users and their permissions, your businesses can protect sensitive financial information. This ensures that only authorized personnel have access to your financial data, reducing the risk of data breaches or unauthorized transactions.
Managing your ID and addressing any login issues are essential for maintaining overall control, security, and efficiency in your financial operations with QuickBooks Desktop, @savAM. This worked! I was hesitant to reset my admin ID, because I was afraid that something would get messed up. But it worked & my payments account is now connected. Thank you
