We have clients that have monthly installment invoices in our QB system. My issue is that if someone changes an email address or billing address, it won't change it on the invoices that are already in the system. I have to delete the invoices that are in there and re-enter them. Is there another way of making these changes so that it will encompass those invoices that are already created? I can only enter 6 months at a time now because of this issue. Help!

Hi there, @dtinsley.
Thank you for getting back and providing more details. I can help you change your customer's demographic information.
I have good news for you. There's an Add or Edit Multiple List Entries feature in QuickBooks. This allows you to update multiple customer's email or address. Once saved, the existing transactions will have the new information.
Here's how to edit your customer details in bulk:
Go back to your customer list and open the an existing invoice:

Hi there, @dtinsley.
Thanks for posting in the Community. I can help share some information about changing an email or billing address in your invoices.
In QuickBooks Desktop, you can change the billing address on your customer's information. This will be applied to your future and previous invoices as well. If you keep seeing the wrong billing address on your invoice transaction, then this is an odd behavior. I'd suggest following the troubleshooting steps provided in this article: Re-sort lists.
If this won't fix your issue, let's try running the Verify and Rebuild tool to check any errors in QuickBooks Desktop.
However, if you're using QuickBooks Online, you can only apply the changes in your email and billing address to your future invoices. The transactions created prior to changing the address information will not show on the previous and ongoing invoices you made.
Keep me updated if this is not what you're referring to. I'll be on the lookout for your reply and help you further if you have other questions about modifying your demographic information.
Thanks for your reply. I'm not sure I'm explaining it correctly, this pertains more to emailed invoices. Here's a scenario....
John Doe has 12 monthly installments in QB. He calls in March and says his email address has changed. I update the customer information to his new email but it will not change it on the invoices that are already in QB (April thru December). I then have to delete the April to December invoices and re-enter them so it captures the new email. When you have hundreds of customers, it can be very time consuming to go in and fix the existing invoices that's why I'm only entering 6 months worth at a time. I hope this helps explain it better.
