Credit Card Refund

Why on earth does it take 30 days for a credit card transaction to be refunded to a customer.  Credit cards charges and refunds are immediate in the world I live in!  I am pretty sure I can go to any store and return something and have it refunded immediately.  Electronic financial transactions are INSTANT!!! In what world do we live that it takes 30 days for a refund to happen? To make matters worse, when I try to call I get a new person who I have to explain the entire situation to again - despite having a case number!! They can't resolve anything, and I was told that they can't connect me to a supervisor because they are all working from home. Seriously??? You have to be kidding me.  Then when a "supervisor" called me back TWO DAYS later (unbelievable!!) they let the phone ring twice and hung up before I could even pick up my phone. I have asked repeatedly why it takes 30 days for a customer's credit card transaction to be refunded and no one can answer the question. This is borderline criminal that the money is taking so long to be refunded!! Is Quickbooks using our money in limbo to earn interest or something?  What is going on seriously?  We cannot collect another payment from the customer until their money is refunded and why this takes 30 days is beyond me.  What a terrible product and even worse customer service!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Credit Card Refund

Yea, that's weird for sure. CC transactions aren't instant, though. They batch each day and then take another day to post, but they shouldn't take more then two days, just like payments received.

When I used the QuickBooks Merchant Service, that's how it worked. Nothing took more than two days. So, not sure what's going on in your case...
