Welcome to the QuickBooks Community, stratuspropertie. It will be my pleasure to assist you here. First, let's log out of the QuickBooks program and restart the computer. Once the process is finished, sign in to your program and check the calendar icon. If the problem is still occurring, I recommend running the rebuild and verify tool to correct any errors or data damage. Here's how:

  1. Go to the  File menu and click Utilities.
  2. Select Verify Data, then hit OK to close all windows. Once the verification is completed, and you received a message saying, “Your data has failed the integrity check," the rebuild tool needs to be utilized.
  3. Go back to the File menu and click Utilities.
  4. Select Rebuild Data, then click, OK.
  5. You will be asked to back up your company file; select OK to do so.
  6. Once the rebuild's finished, click OK.

Use the verify tool once more to confirm that all the errors have been corrected. You can then go back to the Calendar icon to double-check if it is working. For more information about Rebuild and Verify, you can refer to this article, which goes into more details. Please let me know how this goes and if you need additional assistance. Simply comment below, and I will be looking out for your response. Until then, take care and be safe.

Unfortunately, this didn't fix my problem.  I think it's a bug in the compatibility the new/updated IOS system.  Hopefully,  apple and quickbooks will fix this bug soon.  Thanks

Thanks for the prompt reply and for going through the steps shared by my colleague above, @stratuspropertie.

Allow me to share with you additional troubleshooting steps to isolate this. I recommend doing a clean install. A clean install fixes issues that keep you from opening your company file and a few other situations. Let me show you how:

First, let’s uninstall your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) for Mac. Before we do so, have your QBDT download file (or installation CD) and license number ready. Then:

  1. Close QuickBooks.
  2. Go to the Finder menu.
  3. Select Applications.
  4. Drag the QuickBooks icon to the Trash icon.

After that, we’ll need to remove your QBDT software PLIST files.

User PLIST:

  1. Go to the Finder menu.
  2. Hold down the Option key, then select Library.
  3. Open the Preferences folder.
  4. Find PLIST files that contains com.intuit.QuickBooks20XX, then move them to the Trash.
  5. Then empty the trash.

For System PLIST:

  1. From a new Finder window, open the Macintosh HD.
  2. Go to Library, then Preferences folder.
  3. Find PLIST files that contains com.intuit.QuickBooks20XX, then move them to the Trash.
  4. Then empty the trash.
