Desktop 2023 Enhanced Payroll

My computer crashed and I needed to restore my company file. That was in February 2023, and I just now noticed that the "All Payments" section under the "Pay Liabilities" tab in the Payroll Center only shows payments back to October 2022.

I restored the tax form PDFs and other files that were saved to a folder called "Restored_our company name_Files"

Can anyone please advise?

Thanks.

It's good to see you here in the Community, @MF961.

I want to make sure your payroll liability payments show on the Payroll Center.

One of the possible reasons why your most recent payments aren't showing in the Payroll Center is that the company file you restored was moved or renamed. To get this fixed, let's perform a wild card search to locate your company file.

This is an advanced search technique that can be used to maximize your search results in library databases. We can start by going to your computer, then entering this keyword (*.qbw (Working Files).

Once you've found it, take note of the file's location and then open or restore the file in QuickBooks Desktop.

Just in case you want to run and customize payroll reports in QuickBooks Desktop, you can check out this article for more guidance: Customize payroll and employee reports.

Don't hesitate to leave a comment below if you have other concerns or follow-up questions about this. I'll be around to provide further assistance.

Hi and thanks for your reply.

Sorry, I'm delayed in seeing this, since I'm new to the community and expected an email or notification if I got a reply.

Before I attempt what you suggested, I want to clarify what the possible problem was, and add new information.

My recent payments do show, but I was concerned because they only showed going back to Oct '22, and I've made liability payments dating back to 2003.

I now notice that after making some liability payments for May, the "All Payments" list only goes back to November 2022. So, I'm now suspecting that it is intended that only 6 months worth of liability payments show on the All Payments tab under Payment History on the Liability tab in the Payroll Center.

Is that correct, or am I missing information in my Payroll Center?

Thank you.
