Dupllicate payments showing up for deposit after I have reconciled how to get rid of them in qb intuit

Welcome to the Community, @francene.

Let's work together to resolve the issue of duplicate transactions in your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) account.

Firstly, please check if the checks have been deposited. If they have not been deposited yet, make the deposit. However, if the deposit has been recorded and the duplicate payment still appears in the bank deposit window, we will need to verify and rebuild your company file to identify and resolve the underlying problem.

Here's how to verify your company data in QBDT:

  1. Go to Window then select Close All.
  2. Navigate to File, then select Utilities.
  3. Click on Verify Data.

If you see the message "Your data has lost integrity," it means that data damage has been detected in the file. To fix it, you'll need to rebuild your data.

Here's how:

  1. Go to File, Utilities, and then select Rebuild Data.
  2. QuickBooks will prompt you to create a backup before rebuilding your company file. Click OK. Please remember that a backup is required before rebuilding.
  3. Choose where you want to save your backup, then press OK. Don’t replace another backup file. Enter a new name in the File name field. Then, hit Save.
  4. Click OK when you get the message Rebuild has completed.
  5. Go to File, select Utilities then select Verify Data again to check for additional damage.

For more detailed steps on troubleshooting data issues in QBDT, check out this article: Verify and Rebuild Data in QuickBooks Desktop.

Once everything is resolved, you can run reports to get an overview of your business's performance and check for any duplicate transactions.

If you have any further questions or concerns about deleting transactions or troubleshooting your data in QBDT, please comment below. We're always here to help. Take care!

Thanks for getting back with the Community, francene. I appreciate you performing AnneMariee's recommended troubleshooting steps.

Since you're still noticing duplicate transactions after deleting them, I'd recommend continuing your troubleshooting with our QuickBooks Tool Hub.

Here's how:

  1. Close QuickBooks and download a copy of the utility's most recent version, then run it.
  2. Follow along with your on-screen steps to complete installation and agree with our terms and conditions.
  3. Once it's installed, double-click its icon to open the tool hub. If you can't find your app, perform a search in Windows for "QuickBooks Tool Hub" and select the program.
  4. Access your Company File Issues tab and use the Quick Fix my file and QuickBooks File Doctor tools to troubleshoot your company file. In the event you need additional assistance, choose File Dr Help.

If you continue noticing deleted transactions being recreated or duplicated after troubleshooting with your Tool Hub, you'll want to get in touch with our Customer Care team. They'll be able to pull up the account in a secure environment, conduct further research with you, and create an investigation ticket if necessary.

They can be reached while you're signed in.

Here's how:

  1. In your top menu bar, go to Help, then QuickBooks Desktop Help.

  2. Click Contact Us.

  3. Enter a brief description of the issue in our Ask a question (or tell us what's wrong) field, then hit Continue.

  4. Select We’ll contact you for a callback or Message Us to start an instant messaging session.

Be sure to review their support hours so you'll know when agents are available.

Please don't hesitate to send a reply if there's any questions. Have a great Monday!
