Error Processing echeck payment JSON at position 53

Hello,

I have two QB company files.  One will process e-checks and the other will not.  I get a JavaScript Alert - <web address>  Error: SyntaxError: Unexpected token in JSON at position 53.  Running QB Premier 2018.

I have run a repair on the client and the server.  I can process payments on the web.  I have seen multiple entries for position 0 and 1 but none for 53.

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Hello @MikeDunn,

Let's run the QuickBooks Utility tools so you can process the echeck payment without any issues. Doing so, QuickBooks will automatically run a quick repair and fix possible data damage on your company file.  I'll show you how.

A. To Verify Data

  1. Go to File.
  2. Click Utilities.
  3. Select Verify Data.
  4. Click OK.

B. To Rebuild Data

  1. Go to File.
  2. Click Utilities.
  3. Select Rebuild Data.
  4. Click OK.

In addition, here's an article you can read to learn more about the QuickBooks tools: Verify and Rebuild Data in QuickBooks Desktop.

Lastly, I've also included this helpful article for ideas about how QuickBooks deposit the payments you processed: Automatically record QuickBooks Payments bank deposits.

I'm always here if you need further help or assistance. Stay in touch by leaving a post below.
