How can I connect my Apple credit card?

We're currently unable to connect the Apple credit card to QuickBooks Online, @tonichase68.

Since the option is unavailable, you'll want to request your bank's support by following the steps below:

  1. Go to the Transactions menu and select Banking or Bank transactions.
  2. Click on the Link account button in the upper right corner.
  3. Enter the name of your bank into the search box.
  4. Use the Show more and continue pressing it until you Still can't find your bank? appears. On Request to add your bank page, type the bank's name, URL, and email address.
  5. Hit Submit or Request.

Here's a sample screenshot for reference:

Open this guide for more ways to look up your bank: Find your bank or credit card account when you connect to online banking.

As a workaround, you can manually upload transactions into the program. Make sure to review the file format and size to import them successfully.

To review downloaded bank and credit card transactions, refer to this article: Categorize online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.

Please let me know in your reply if you have any other banking concerns. I'm available to assist you. Have a good day ahead.

Another option, use MT Online or one of the converter tools (e.g csv2qbo @ $60 one time license) as a workaround.

How can I connect my Apple credit card?

Has anyone had success using the method below to import transactions from the Apple Card statements into Quickbooks? I cannot stress enough to any and all customer service reps who are reading this that the Apple Card is a VERY popular card and is used by legions of business owners, and this makes Quickbooks feel very antiquated and like using a 90's software service for bookkeeping since it is not modernizing and connecting to contemporary and popular credit cards. It is a MasterCard by GoldmanSachs, which should make it stupid easy to connect. In any case, I would very much like to emphasize for the record that this integration is very much needed.

In the meantime, do the workarounds actually work? Thank you for your expertise and hopefully some better and more illustrative information on this pain point.

How can I connect my Apple credit card?

Thank you for reaching out and providing feedback about connecting Apple credit card accounts in QuickBooks Online, EmilyO. I appreciate you taking the time to ask about improving online banking capabilities.

For now, directly connecting and downloading transactions from Apple's credit card is not currently supported in QuickBooks Online. However, you can import credit card statements in a CSV format as a workaround.

The best option is to find a third-party app that can convert your Apple credit card statement into a CSV file. Then you can upload the CSV into QuickBooks Online to import those transactions.

You can either use any of these supported formats in bringing your transactions into QBO:

csv format 1.PNGcsv format 2.PNG

Additional information and tips are also shared here: Format CSV Files In Excel To Get Bank Transactions Into QuickBooks

Once formatted correctly, use the steps in this article on how to import your transaction: Manually Upload Transactions Into QuickBooks Online.

While not as seamless as direct connectivity, this workaround allows you to bring your Apple credit card data into QuickBooks without entering each transaction manually.

We also value input about improving connectivity with financial institutions like Apple Card. Feedback from users like yourself helps us prioritize expanding online banking features. Having said that, I highly recommend formally submitting your suggestion directly to our product team via the feedback form.

You can use this Help article as a guide to send your feedback: How Do I Submit Feedback?

Frustrating answer to an even more frustrating problem. One dead link and a link to a video that mentions it for 0.75 seconds in a brand new account setup format. (irrelevant screen to most of us) Outstanding work Intuit!

How can I connect my Apple credit card?

Greetings, jp.

Yes, MoneyThumb Online works well with QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Integrating this third-party application converts downloaded and scanned bank and credit card statements automatically into QuickBooks. Making it easier for businesses to operate effectively.

Let me show you how you can get this app:

  1. Go to the Apps menu and choose the Find apps tab.
  2. On the search bar field, look for the application of your choice.

After downloading your bank data using a different application, you may want to review them and begin the reconciliation process to ensure your accounts match your bank and credit card statements.

Should you require further assistance integrating different programs in QBO, comment below. Take care always!

How can I connect my Apple credit card?

Hi Everyone! You can get QBO files from your Apple credit card by following these steps...
1. On our iPhone, open the wallet app and tap Apple Card.

2. Tap Card Balance.

3. Scroll to the statement you want and tap Export Transactions.

4. Select QuickBooks (QBO) then either Save to Files or choose an app like OneDrive to save it to a folder location. You can also email it to yourself.

Once the file is on your computer, you can upload it to QB online. Navigate to Bank Transactions -> Link Account -> Upload from file -> Select a file then follow the prompts from there. I am on this thread because the QBO files for the Apple Savings account are not working properly but the Credit Card files are working great.

This didn't work for me unfortunately. I tried uploading the QBO files, and QB said it can only accept .csv files. So I redownloaded the statements as .csv files, and got an error when trying to upload them to QB. What a piece of garbage.

How can I connect my Apple credit card?

I just downloaded CSV files directly from the Apple app, however, I run into something different.

With both QBO and CSV files, if in Select Account I add 'Apple Card', it has no option for Credit Card. If I go to Chart of Accounts and add Apple Card as a Credit Card, it does not show in the drop down where we import files.

I am very acquainted with this process in many applications but am missing something in Quickbooks. Seems I'm running in circles.

How can I connect my Apple credit card?

Have you found the trick? I have CSV directly from Apple app, but although the Apple Credit Card is in the Chart of Accounts, it cannot be found in the dropdown, AND if I choose to 'add new' from the drop down, it does not give me the option to add account type Credit Card

Hi there, Cjjcmg. I want to take a moment to express my sincere appreciation for the efforts you've made in securing a CSV file. Since you encountered some problems after importing, I'll be here to help you overcome them. Ensuring you can go back to your workflow is my priority.

After uploading, if you can't find the Apple Credit Card in the Chart of Accounts (COA) dropdown, you can manually search for it or enter the name in the Search bar. Here's how:

  1. Go to Transactions.
  2. Select Chart of Accounts.
  3. In the Search box, type in the name of your credit card.

You would also have the option to add a credit card in the Account type section.

If the issues you're having persist, I suggest performing basic troubleshooting steps. Sometimes, accumulated cache files in your browser may cause unexpected behavior, such as the one you're experiencing. Start by logging in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account using a private or incognito window. Based on your browser type, please refer to the keyboard shortcuts below:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

Then, attempt to look for the Apple Credit Card in the COA's dropdown. If this resolves the problem, return to your default browser and clear the cache to refresh the page and start with a clean slate. Alternatively, you can also use other supported browsers.

Dropping a comment below is the easiest way to get in touch with us here in the Community forum, Cjjcmg. I'll be more than happy to address any additional queries you may have about handling your Apple credit card. Remember, I'm committed to ensuring that you're able to use our program seamlessly.

How can I connect my Apple credit card?

I got to the step of Incognito and it worked. I went back to main browser and it was there. Must have been a timing thing because I added the CC yesterday. To update everyone:

  • Apple app has the CSV available, 'reverse' the transactions when you upload
  • I did not try QBO, but I assume it will work, maybe not with reverse
  • Be patient or clear cache. I was able to add the CC and it showed up after a few tries

Thank you for all your help!!!
