How can I customize and save a "note to customer" on an invoice? I am able to customize the note but it`s not saving it for the next invoice. Thank you

How can I customize and save a "note to customer" on an invoice? I am able to customize the note but it`s not saving it for the next invoice. Thank you

We know how to make a default message that automatically appears on all your invoices in QuickBooks Online (QBO), Eva.

 

The message you enter in the Note to customer field when creating an invoice will not automatically save when creating new invoices. However, we can customize the invoice template you're using to make the message default for future invoices. Let me guide you on how:     

 

  1. Go to the Settings icon in the upper right corner of the main dashboard.
  2. Click Custom form styles.
  3. Select the invoice template you're using and tap Edit.
  4. Hit the Content tab and go to the lower part of the invoice template where the Note to customer is located.
  5. In the Message to customer on section, enter the default message.
  6. Press Done.

After completing the process, set the template as the default so that it applies to all future invoices you create. Here's how:

 

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Choose Custom form styles.
  3. Find the custom invoice you'd like to set as your default.
  4. Under its ACTION column, click the dropdown arrow.
  5. Select Make default. You'll see (default) displayed by the default template name.
