Payment notifications for invoices are delivered through email rather than within the QuickBooks app itself, rachel77. Allow me to elaborate on this feature.
Aside from customer payments and deposit alerts, emails are also sent by the system for other reasons such as:
- Approval emails
- User invitations
- Confirmation code
- Forms requested from the Merchant Service Center (MSC)
For now, there's no option to get a prompt or notification within the app when an invoice is paid.
You can also log in to your QuickBooks Payments account to make sure that you'll receive the email notifications via email. Here's how:
- Sign in to your QuickBooks Payments account.
- Click Account, then choose Account Profile.
- Select Contact Information, then Edit.
- Verify or change your email address, then select Save.

If the email address is already correct, follow the steps in this article on how to make sure you receive email notifications: Can't receive email from QuickBooks Payments.
