How do I accept a payment

Hello, @dylanherz. I'll provide options on how you can receive payment online in QuickBooks Online (QBO). 
 

In QBO, you can process online payments directly from your customer or receive payments that were processed outside QuickBooks. If you wish to accept payments through credit card, debit. ACH Bank transfer, PayPal, and Venmo, you'll need to set up QuickBooks Payments to do so. 
 

If you're not using QuickBooks Payments, you can manually process it. Here's how:
 

  1. Click the + New button and select Receive payment.
  2. Select your customer from the Customer drop-down.
  3. Choose the payment method from the Payment method drop-down.
  4. From the Deposit to drop-down, select the account you use to process payment.
  5. In the Outstanding Transactions section, tick the box for the invoice you're recording the payment for.
  6. Fill in the fields for the Reference no. and memo if needed.
  7. Once done, Save and close.
