Do you need to accept payment with Stripe on the invoice, reconcile Stripe transactions, or else?
Thanks for sharing your query here with us, victoria-victori1. Let me provide insight on Stripe integration with QuickBooks.
QuickBooks Online offers many third-party apps to integrate with your subscription. If you want to accept payments with Stipe or sync Stripe transactions to QBO, you'll need a third-party connector to do so.
Here's how you can look at reviews for Stripe with QuickBooks Online:
Moreover, I'm sharing this reference to help you review and match your accounts to your bank and credit card statements: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online.
I'll keep this thread open for any additional questions when managing tasks in QuickBooks. Please don't hesitate to leave a reply in the comments below, so I can back you up whenever you need help. Keep safe!
Why doesn't QuickBooks Online include integration with Stripe? Some of the apps available to sync with Stripe have low ratings or are quite expensive.
Stripe has become as big of a payment processor as PayPal and Square. So why does Intuit have integrations with those companies but not Stripe?
While QuickBooks continues to roll out new features and enhancements, some integrations are still in the pipeline, @gregono1. However, I can help you send feedback to share your suggestions directly with the QuickBooks Online team.
As Stripe and QBO integration is currently unsupported, I suggest submitting a request to our Product Developers. Doing so will allow them to consider incorporating this feature in future updates, as they are constantly working to enhance the program for an optimal user experience.
Here's how to send feedback:
1. Select the Gear icon, then choose Feedback.
2. Type in your comments or product suggestions.
3. Select Next to submit.
You can also reach out to Stripe for additional assistance and recommendations for alternatives on connecting your Stripe account with QBO.
On the other hand, I recommend categorizing your transactions promptly to ensure accurate accounting records. This practice simplifies account reconciliation and streamlines the preparation of financial statements.
If you have any more questions or concerns about Stripe integration or any related to QBO, feel free to reach out. I'm always here to help. Take care.
I submitted the feedback. However, I see several other threads in the QBO Community requesting this for 4+ years, so I'm sure others have already provided this feedback. I was hoping for an update.
You said that "some integrations are still in the pipeline". Is Stripe one of them?
What kind of business do you run? You can use an inventory management app as the connector between QBO and Stripe if required.
Thanks for the prompt response, @gregono1. I'd like to provide some details about how software integration works with QuickBooks Online (QBO).
While I can confirm that some integrations are still in the pipeline, please know that we don’t have specific visibility into which integrations are currently being worked on or their timeline for release. This includes whether Stripe will be available as an integration in the future.
I understand the convenience of having this option, and I want to assure you that we are continually evaluating and prioritizing enhancements based on customer feedback. You can also track feedback progress through this link: Customer Feedback.

Please stay tuned for updates or announcements as we move forward. If you have any other questions or concerns about software integrations, feel free to reply to this thread. I’m here to help!
I don't understand that Customer Feedback link you sent. I don't see any feedback progress there. I only see additional requests for Stripe integration, some going as far back as 2017! When I try to vote on it, it asks me to log in, but my login doesn't work.
It doesn't really matter though. I'm not going to register for another feedback portal. I've already requested this feature in two different places. So have many other customers for the last 7+ years. If you can't tell me whether it's on your roadmap before my current license ends, I'm going to have to find another product.
Once they offer easier integrations with popular payment providers, their own QB Payments will face a tough challenge that they really want to avoid. If you prefer a direct integration with Stripe, QBO is not your answer. You should consider Xero (https://xero5440.partnerlinks.io/Promo90) or Freshbooks (http://fbuy.me/rg_us).
You can purchase a 3rd party service to convert data from QBO to one of them if required.
Thank you, Chrea
This is disappointing to read, but it is a helpful, direct answer, which is the first I've gotten in this community.
I agree. Quickbooks needs to have their own integration like they do for Amazon. So many businesses use Stripe. Please put this on your to-do list.
Yep, you can connect Stripe to QuickBooks — I had to figure this out for my own business too.
QuickBooks has a direct connection to Stripe, but it’s super limited. It only pulls in payouts, not individual sales, fees, or refunds — so your numbers in QB can end up way off.
I started using Synder, and it’s been a total game-changer.
Here’s how I did it:
Signed up for Synder
Connected my Stripe and QuickBooks accounts
Picked how I wanted the data to sync (I chose detailed transactions)
Done — it started syncing automatically
Now everything from Stripe — sales, fees, refunds — shows up correctly in QuickBooks without me having to lift a finger. Super easy and way more accurate. Highly recommend it!
Because they are pushing their payment processing which has ridiculous fees and doesn't offer you the option to let customers pay the processing fees. It's enough that we are considering leaving Quickbooks as it is clearly anti-competitive.
You can use a 3rd party payment processor to sync with QBO.
You can use QuickBooks’ built-in Stripe integration via third-party apps in the App Store, but options are a bit limited. If you need more control, tools like Skyvia can handle that through no-code workflows. Keeps things flexible without custom scripting.
