You can stop the payment from being processed by voiding it, bella-casacleaning614.
Voiding a payment in QuickBooks Online (QBO) cancels the payment while keeping the transaction in your records. The amount changes to $0, maintaining the audit trail and ensuring accurate financial records.
Here's how to void a payment:
- Go to the Sales and Get Paid menu and click on Customer Hub.
- Select the customer associated with the payment you want to void.
- Find and open the payment you'd like to cancel.
- At the bottom of the payment page, select More actions, then click on Void.
- Confirm the void action.
Another option is to refund a payment from the original transaction. For detailed instructions on how to process a refund, check out this article: Void or refund customer payments.
