We bought a business van and the loan includes a service contract with maintenance/road hazard services plus GAP insurance (I'm actually confused why we have to pay interest on these services but that's another issue). How do I enter this loan in QB? Let's say the actual cost of the van is $30,000 and the service contact is $5,000. Do I enter the asset as $30,000 or $35,000? And for the loan payments should I enter a combined number or...? I couldn't find any information on this online! Thank you so much for your help in advance.
