I completely understand the need to trim down costs and remove add-ons that come with fees. You have full control in QBO to choose which payment methods to use when receiving payments from your customers, kourymedcomm.

I'd like to take this opportunity to help and share steps on how to make the changes in your company settings. Here's how:

  1. Log in to your account in the web version of QBO. Here's the link: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/.
  2. Go to the Gear icon and select Account and Settings.
  3. Proceed to the Sales tab, click the Pencil icon from the Invoice Payments section.
  4. Under the Payment options, uncheck the ACH payments box.
  5. You can also uncheck the box for Accept Credit Cards since there are applicable fees when customer's pay using their credit card.
  6. Click Save and select Done.

After that, your customer will no longer see the option to pay their invoices via ACH.

As you switch back to manually receiving customer payments, allow me to share these articles as your guide:

Don't hesitate to always visit us again if you need more help when recording transactions or anything payments-related, kourymedcomm. I'd be on the lookout to make sure you get the help you need.

This does not work for app based users.  The ability to turn off payments is not enabled in the iOS App.

Unfortunately this is not an option within QB Online anymore. Is there a workaround?  Or do we need to ask the SMB to help us?  From a QB Live FOE.  Thanks in advance.

I have a workaround that can be done directly from the Invoice page, @drosenberge. I'd be glad to help you navigate these steps to get you started.

If this option isn't showing in the Account and settings, you can still manage this through your invoices by selecting the Manage icon. From there, you can turn off or on a payment option for your transactions. Kindly refer to the steps outlined below:

  1. Go to Sales, then Invoices.
  2. Choose the customer for whom you'd like to stop ACH payments and click Edit to open their invoice.
  3. Click the Manage icon and select the Payment options dropdown.
  4. Toggle off the Bank transfer option.

@drosenberge

If you are B2B, you can use a 3rd party processor to do so.
